Coach Alex
In early 2022, with no martial arts experience or knowledge, Alex decided she wanted to "learn how to fight." After weeks of research, she settled on Muay Thai as her chosen art, and showed up to Metrolina Martial Arts fully dedicated to her training. After a few moths, other gym members often asked her if she lived there, and her friends were surprised by any attendance at non-gym related events.With a love for travel, and in order to grow as a fighter, she looks for opportunities to train in unfamiliar settings. This has lead her to visit multiple gyms around the country and has provided the chance to learn from great Muay Thai fighters who have encouraged a love for traditional Muay Thai.
Alex has a particular desire to support female athletes and create opportunities for women to train in a comfortable and supported environment.
